MauiOnlineGuide.com , MauiDir.com, MauiLog.com and HawaiiFareWatch.com are publications of Sugar Beach Enterprises, a business licensed in Stanislaus County, California, USA..

I’m David and my wife’s Vana.  Together we own and operate the above websites.  As you can see they’re all Maui or Hawaii themed.  Considering there are already so many Hawaii themed websites out there, why would we want to add ours to the crowd?

Well, in a word, we love the place.   Our first visit to the islands was in 1989 for our 15th wedding anniversary.  Since then we’ve been back more times than we can count.  As we prepared for each visit over the years we soon realized there are really very few quality Hawaii websites out there.  The vast majority are merchant sites whose purpose is to sell their product.  Not really the best place to find unbiased information.

Our first site was MauiOnlineGuide.Com.   We envision it as an unbiased online Maui guidebook with a few other interesting travel related things thrown in.

MauiLog.Com is our second site.  We came realize there are a lot more interesting travel related things going on in the islands than we wanted to include in MauiOnlineGuide.  MauiLog is a place for all these things.  Just about anything travel related in the islands is fair game.  This site is a little more opinionated than the others, so feel free to chime in and set us straight.

MauiDir.Com developed out of our distaste for timeshare marketing.   At the moment it’s a work in progress.  When completed it will be a directory of Maui business you can reach directly and skip the timeshare marketers.

HawaiiFareWatch.Com is our newest website.   With oil prices going through the roof and the demise of Aloha and ATA airlines, finding a reasonably priced ticket to the islands is going to become more difficult.  We envision it as a weekly update on Hawaii airfares and deals.

We take no money from anyone to publish a story so that we may remain unbiased.  The sites are supported by the context sensitive Google ads you’ll see on most pages.
